PROJECT SUMMARY

Objectives

Stabilizing and unifying the existing backup environment at an ICT service provider. Reduction of subscription cost by implementation of new work processes and the optimal use of vendor licensing models.

Challenges

The initial request made by the customer to develop a bespoke solution concept as part of phasing out of the existing (legacy) technology environment. Exchange and would like for an appropriate solution concept. The main result of the “as-is study” was, that we found that the existing environment and architecture was capable to of great performance and stability improvements and more stability. Based on these findings the client requested us to prepare a business case. Resulting in an approach that helped the customer achieve huge savings without transition risks by using the contractual possibilities of the manufacturer’s licensing models and a change to the architecture of the environment.

Finally, we implement the solution utilizing the required hardware and software. After realizing greater than usual discounts in negotiation on behalf of our customers. This adaptation of development processes freed up employees to deploy on core business and value added service.
