In the field of tension between project management, architecture and quality management: many stakeholders, even more opinions, extremely under time pressure and at the beginning from customers prospective a too tight milestone plan.
Achievements:
Eventually, in this very huge project everything was delivered within quality and time.
This was the reference project of the „BUND Online 2005 Initiative!“ of the german public administration.
GlOBAL LOGISTICAL SERVICES PROVIDER
Senior systems architect
Objectives:
Modernization of high performance systems, each with between 100 to 10.000 transactions per second. The main aim was to reduce the dependencies between systems and improve the maintainability and adaptability to future requirements. I had full responsibility for design of the architecture, requirements analysis, make or buy evaluation and lastly test management.
Achievements:
A significant cost reduction of 40 millions of Euros.
GLOBAL MANUFACTURER of RAIL VEHICLES / CAIRRIGES
Process consultant for the analysis of the impact of the updated DIN 50128 on the development processes
Objectives:
Development of safety-critical systems for the world market leader in the rail equipment manufacturing.
Achievements:
The new process model ensured the acceptance of all new developments by the German Federal Railway Authority (EBA).
IT department in the defence sector
Project manager
Objectives:
Development of an Interactive Electronic (online) Technical Manuals with next to this the development of a strategy for the sustainable maintenance and development (50+ years) of the system. I had responsibility for creating the architecture, the roadmaps and implementing the prototype and finally as quality manager for the project I established continuous staff training.
Achievements:
Replacing all paper documentation and use of the system for over 400 different weapons systems resulting in an enormous improvement in access to information.
