Analysis of the existing backup environment, including cost analysis and the work flow processes. Based on my conclusions I designed a concept for a new backup architecture and ist implementation.
Achievements:
– A significant increase in backup performance
– Cost reduction amounting to a monthly saving of 100K Euros
– A reduction of incident tickets

Objectives:
Overall responsibility for the design and operation of the European IT operations with its own employees in the German headquarters. Significant increase in employee satisfaction by introducing user help desk.
Achievements:
Continuous optimization and increased efficiency, for example by reducing WAN costs of nearly 80%.

Responsible for the overall management of all those involved with the service changes, involvement and control of the accounting firm to ensure SOX / COBIT compliance throughout the entire process. Coordination of user acceptance testing and preparation of the go-live decision.
Achievements:
The service change was successfully executed in the given time window and successfully audited in accordance with SOX / COBIT criteria.
